Dead Rising film lead cast announced, Rob Riggle to star as Frank West

Capcom today revealed the actors and actress who will be stepping into the roles of Frank West, Pyro, Logan, and Jordan in the upcoming Dead Rising: Watchtower live-action film.

Rob Riggle of Daily Show and 21 Jump Street fame will be flexing his photography skills (probably not with moose-knuckle focus) as Frank West. Harley Morenstein, co-creator of Canada’s Epic Meal Time YouTube show will be donning leather and denim as the biker Pyro, and will in turn be playing second fiddle to the biker gang leader Logan, played by Aleks Paunovic (Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat: Legacy). Rounding out the trio of males is Once Upon a Time’s Blue Fairy/Mother Superior, Keegan Connor Tracey. She’ll be playing a “straight-laced journalist,” according to Capcom’s community manager Greg Moore.

Dead Rising: Watchtower, a feature-length film in development at Legendary for Sony’s Crackle streaming service, was first announced this past summer. After debuting on Crackle, the film will be released across SVOD, DVD, VOD, and TV.
