Feng shui is an ancient knowledge that seeks to harmonize the environment and a balance of energies. But those who accept the challenge to adapt it to improve their home, we know that you can use modern resources, without neglecting the energy balance in search of capturing the “chi” cosmic (vital energy), and invite it to live in our house.
Most homes were not designed with guidelines of Feng Shui; however, they have the ability to adapt this wonderful discipline working on critical points with the application of some concepts, adding to them our imagination as a fundamental tool to achieve a unique and personal.
It is easy to transfer some ideas of Feng Shui into multiple “tips” for the home, making small changes that can lead to great opportunities.
The key to Feng Shui is to know the orientation of your home. So before starting the analysis is necessary to take a compass and review the cardinal point where each element is inside your home.
The square columns and exposed beams have binding sites which generate axial angle. For Feng Shui, these angles are not lucky because they are associated with “poison arrows” it is an element which generates a negative power that harms the environment and the person who inhabits it.
In many environments there are columns that protrude from the wall as construction or even use as decoration, and you cannot demolish them. However, Feng Shui gives us resources that we can appeal to neutralize its harmful effects.
If the column is in the east-southeast, a healthy plant growth represents the force that can appease these arrows. It is important that the plant is important enough to cover visually column. Moreover, no real system is necessary; plants can be used provided their artificial but radiate aspect life. It is also important to choose plants that do not have thorns or leaves extremely fine.
If the column is in the south-southwest-northeast, the ideal is a good high lamp that radiates light upwards. The key is that the foot or lamp body is rounded.
Another possibility is to use a fabric panel to “hide” the column. This will cover the edges and disperse the arrows. Depend on the cardinal point that is in the column, Fabric color to be used. Regardless of the cardinal point that is in the column, a valid resource to hide its arrows is a mirror, but should be paid close attention to the orientation of the effects of its reflection.
This is a very powerful resource but also complex to install, because the mirror has many applications in Feng Shui that depends on many variables and detailed analysis is required for application.
Never place a couch or chair to cover the columns, because it the poisoned arrows directly affect anyone using the seats. Nor should place the bed in a way the columns act thereon, because it would be seriously harmed their rest and their health.
The ceilings with exposed beams are a difficulty. While they are a widely used architectural resource in construction, also represent poisoned arrows, but with the potential to come from the “heaven” of the house; making them much more powerful that from the columns. These cases represent a major problem where you should apply Feng Shui energetically. The most important tips are: use a bed with “canopy”, creating a barrier between the beams and the surface of the bed, so that the arrows do not affect our rest; and conjugating the ceiling in such a way that the beams are covered.
Thus space is redefined and a new perspective harmonically enters our homes through Feng Shui.
