Watch 30 minutes of Star Wars: Battlefront III pre-alpha footage

Footage taken from a pre-alpha version of Free Radical’s canceled Star Wars: Battlefront III has appeared online.

The 30 minutes of footage is split across two videos and features some AT-AT walker action on Hoth, a Coruscant level with Padme, Taun Tauns, and more. Of course this isn’t the first time that we’ve seen footage of this game, but it’s always nice to have a look at what could have been. These videos usually get removed pretty quickly, so be sure to watch them while you still can.

Star Wars: Battlefront III was in development at TimeSplitters developer Free Radical, with plans for a fourth entry on the table, before it was canceled by LucasArts. Since then Free Radical has been purchased and rebranded twice: once into Crytek U.K., and more recently to become Deep Silver Dambuster Studios.

A reboot of the series, simply titled Star Wars: Battlefront, is currently in development at DICE.
