Google Drive

Google Drive is one of the largest and most popular search engines on the World Wide Web. It was created on September 4, 1998 started by Sergey Brin, Larry Page. Google Mail is known as Gmail which is the free mail service run by the Google which can be accessed on the web through POP3 or by IMAP. According to Google, around the world more than 5 million organizations use the Google Apps which includes 60 percent of Fortune 500 companies.

Google has created many services and Google Drive is one of them. Google Drive is a file storage managed by Google and are available in 68 different languages. There are 240 million registered users across the world on October 2014. It was launched by Google on April 24, 2012. The main goal of the Google Drive is to allow the users to store their documents in the cloud, share the files and also edit the files/ documents with collaborators. It gives the online storage space of 15 GB to all the users which is shared among its three different most used services: Google Drive, Gmail and Google+ Photos. The files which are shared publicly on GMail Drive can be searched in all the web search engines also.


Drive have various features which includes services such as sharing, third party apps, file viewing, file limits, search, accessibility and save to GMail Drive. Drive Application on android and IOS allows to support the editing of documents and spreadsheets until April 2014. Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides established a free web based office suite launched by Google and integrated by Google Drive which allows all the users to create and edit the files and documents online.
