The use of materials and light textures in office design of GPC

With a current architectural concept, transparency and the use of materials and light textures, the firm Figamma design and build the management offices of a company in the biofuel sector in Bogota. This interesting proposal also emphasizes respect for nature into a modern, efficient and simple.

Passion and symmetry, as well as a respect for the environment which results in large spaces, productive and harmonious compose the basic elements of these company offices GPC (Colombian Petroleum Group) located in the northeast of Bogota. Figamma was in charge for the intervention of the space, the firm with years of experience in the sector, to specific tastes and needs of its customers, in proposals efficient and comfortable.

The premise of this architectural project, received completely in gray work was to achieve in each section total communion between amplitude, order and nature as the focus of the work environment of a company whose business is the production of biofuels. Although the building environmental engineering gave ideal conditions for the development of space, we chose from the beginning by investing in automation resources for air conditioning systems, lighting, water, and the use of motorized roller shades, from the signature Hunter Douglas, that would improve the control of entry of light and heat, and which ultimately would result in savings, but also in reducing the environmental impact.

The general concept in terms of architecture was led by Fernando and Lina Maria Gonzalez, of Figamma, who drew lines in a modern and inviting place that offers a magnificent view of the eastern hills. Some structural elements such as duels and tubes were left in sight with clever rhyming ceilings in drywall scale that give visual and acoustic spaces where the average height does not exceed 3.80 m.

The reception is the starting point of an environment demarcated by the work of floors, ceilings and gardens that shaped parallel traffic areas and areas reserved. In this section, the ingenious use of water surface with different, porcelain textures, combined with intelligent lighting, is a clear example of how nature and technology coexist in modern spaces. The Hunter Douglas metal cells, the manner of ceiling in the entrance area, added a futuristic touch to the waiting room nuanced by a triple sofa, a floor lamp and three red armchairs.

The eastern façade reserved for the offices of senior executives and they can be seen in painstaking work environments resulting translucent with glass architectural divisions white walls and drywall which alternate abujardado walls. The perimeters of the north and south facades are allocated to managers with their staff. The posts of similar type were equipped with low dividing screens, looking to allow the separation of posts in an open and seamless visual. In the center of the office were created two boardrooms with seating for six and fourteen people, each equipped with the highest standards of audiovisual technology.

The furniture for the jobs of the staff of the Italian firm Delia Valentina Office (DVO) and automated lighting was tasked to Technoimport, who supplied the bullets halogen system to the aprons and white fluorescent system that seen in office areas and meeting rooms.

This, by the designer Luz Piedad Santa, of Figamma, has a modern and welcoming. The use of natural light, water, mirrors, plants and art forms accents focal points in space, which simultaneously serve as catalysts between reception areas, offices, meeting rooms and spaces for contemplation. Saint took the breadth and wealth of natural light to shape spaces that have personality and thread a deep sense of respect for nature. In that vein, plants and tables with metal bases arranged landscaping along the path set standards in different areas of the site. The selection of light, neutral colors as accent anticipates predominant base color and shapes that the pieces of art, furniture and spaces to provide natural component.
