Something sweets are sold and surrounded by sweet decoration. Thatâ??s probably the words to say about this candy store, where a fun and playful interior by Red Design Group, Melbourne, shows a simple but charming idea in a shop known as The Candy Room, fully touched by the atmosphere that remains us to our childhood world of fairytales, fantasy, fiction and of course, sweets.
Featuring simple black and white tones within the entire elements, including walls, furniture, shelves, etc, the place is filled with black handmade sketches on a plain white background that describe perfectly the illusional space of a candy room.
The graphic effect is clear and delightful, picturing several drawings like a framed portrait of one of the kids â??hangingâ? on the walls, stools in front of the serving counter, a clock on the wall, and even a kitchen splashback is drawn complete with a boiling pot on the stove. All promise such a unique fantasy and experience of a room so that customers can buy candy with the aura like in the dollhouse.
Situated in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, the child-like touch of this store is perfect for the stores target audience and our own inner kid. And with the black outlines standing out to an entire fantasy room filled high and low with colorful treats that stand out against the pure white, The Candy Room is having a lot of acceptance among large and small costumers. Obviously, it is not really surprising since the store knows perfectly how to encourage people to buy their products by using a strong connection with the inner child out of the customer.
All in all, from gummies to chocolates, jellies to lollipops that are sold, The Candy Room is the perfect, playful companion to the immediate sensory overload customers must get upon entering.
