Life is Strange gets a January release date

Square Enix has announced that the first episode of Dontnod Entertainment’s narrative-driven adventure game, Life is Strange, will be available from January 30, 2015.

The game follows senior student Max Caulfield who returns to the town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon after a 5 year absence. While there Max reunites with her former friend Chloe to help her uncover the truth behind the disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber. To help spice things up, Max also has the power to rewind time, meaning that “the player has the power to affect the game’s narrative and also change the course of history itself,” according to Square Enix.

Episode one will be available from January 30, 2015 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC for $4.99 (£3.99). Players also have the option of purchasing a season pass that offers access to episodes two through five for $16.99 (£13.99) or a season pass that includes all five episodes for $19.99 (£15.99).

PC players can pre-purchase Life is Strange from today.
