Minecraft Xbox 360 and Xbox One updates add horses, the Wither, bats, more

4J Studios has released new updates for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft: Xbox One Edition that add a number of new items and mobs to the games.

First up the updates add a number of items, including Hardened Clay, Stained Clay, Block of Coal, Hay Bale, Block of Redstone, Daylight Sensor, Dropper, and Hoppers. Along with these new items, these updates also add the ability to spawn and ride horses—a feature already available in the PC version—as well as donkeys and mules.

There are also several new mobs in the game, such as Wither Skeletons, Witches, and bats, as well as the fearsome and deadly Wither boss. Other additions include a new tutorial world, Adventure Mode, new sounds and interfaces, different weapons and armor for mobs, and more.

4J Studios added that the update will be coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Vita as soon as Sony completes its testing.
