Destiny: Xur Location and Exotic Items for November 21-23

Destiny Xur Sale November 14

[NOTE: The above image is from last week’s Xur sale. We will update with official image ASAP.]

While it seemed for a bit like Xur had turned his back on Destiny players with a series of repeat (and lackluster) offerings, last week’s exotic weapon proved us wrong. Xur returned with a bang, and brought The Last Word hand cannon with him.

As a result, anticipation was high for Xur’s return, if only because it appeared the Agent of Nine was finally responding to gamers’ prayers. Could Xur make it two weeks in a row for new exotics, or would he bring back one of his better weapons like the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher or Ice Breaker sniper rifle?

Either way, it’s Thursday night/Friday morning and that means Xur is back to fill Destiny players’ exotic gear and weapon needs. That also means Game Rant has you covered on both Xur’s location and his selection. Read on to find out where Xur is hiding in the tower this weekend and what exotic items he has for sale.

Spotting Xur in the Tower shouldn’t be too difficult – he’s in the Hangar basement. All you need to do is follow the stairs (beneath the Future War Cult representative) all the way down through the Hangar and Xur will be hiding in a little lounge area.

As far as his selection is concerned, it appears Xur has broken the pattern by offering yet another completely new exotic in the MIDA Multi-Tool, an exotic shotgun. We know some may scoff at the Multi-Tool, but this one is pretty unique. Like the Vex Mythoclast, a fusion rifle that functions as a primary weapon, the MIDA Multi-Tool also fills the primary spot.

That means Crucible players, perhaps those participating in the Iron Banner, can have two shotguns in their arsenal at a given time. From personal experience, though, the MIDA Multi-Tool is nothing to write home about; it’s capable in certain situations but shotguns are far from the ideal weapon in Destiny.

Armor-wise, Xur has a treat for Titans and Hunters with the release of No Backup Plans and Young Ahamkara’s Spine. It’s been a healthy rotation of helmets and chests for both those classes – Titans especially – so it’s nice to see something totally different show up.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • No Backup Plans (Titan Gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins

  • Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Hunter Gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins

  • Voidfang Vestments (Warlock Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins

  • MIDA Multi-Tool (Hand Cannon) – 23 Strange Coins

  • Exotic Helm Engram – 23 Motes of Light

It seems like every week we have a discussion over whether or not Xur is worth the trouble of collecting more Strange Coins (by braving the high difficulty Weekly Heroic Strike) and some weeks he delivers, but recently he has dissappointed. The good news is that with The Dark Below expansion right around the corner the potential of Xur offering even more new items grows manifold. We haven’t heard from Bungie whether the DLC’s new gear will be a part of Xur’s selection, but we sure hope so. There are only so many times a Titan like myself can see the Armamentarium show up before we start to lose hope.

What do you think of Xur’s offerings this week? What weapons would you like to see him offer in a future sale?
