Bungie has announced that Destiny’s revamped Iron Banner event will be returning today, November 18, for one week.
The event has undergone several changes since it was last in the game. Now, only players who are level 20+ can enter the Iron Banner playlist, unless they have a fireteam leader who is 20+ that can carry them in. Also, only players within three levels of each other will be competitive, due to attack and defense numbers being taken into account.
In a way to discourage quitting, Bungie has made it so a loss will grant a Medallion that can be redeemed for bonus reputation upon winning. There’s also two new pieces of level 30 gear to earn this time: gauntlets and boots.
Finally, players now have the option of reforging their legendary weapons. Doing this will reset progression of the weapon, but will roll a new set of perks for it.
You can read more about the event here.
Yesterday, Bungie released patch 1.03 for the game that upped the max number of bounty slots, allowed shaders and emblems to be previewed, and much more.
Destiny’s ‘Iron Banner Reforged’ event begins today
