The first step in Zen bedroom designing is to choose a calming color for the walls. Painting the room in a serene color will result to a relaxing room. Choose from the colors of nature, blue as the sky, green as the grass, or gold as the sand. A solid color is better than patterns.

The floor must be clean and easy on the feet. Some of the choices include laminate, bamboo, or wood flooring. Rugs in neutral colors can add more warmth to the room.


The next step is to remove the clutter from the room. Get rid of the stacks of magazines on the floor beside the bed or the clothes on top of the chair. Remove unnecessary things from the bedroom. Keep only the important stuff inside the room that will help you feel more relaxed.
