Resident Evil Revelations 2 release date set, new trailer confirms the return of Barry Burton

Capcom has announced the release dates of Resident Evil Revelation 2‘s four episodes and confirmed the return of Barry Burton as a playable character.

Episode One will be available in North America on PS3 and PS4 from February 17. This will be followed by a PS3 and PS4 release in Europe, an Xbox 360 and Xbox One global release, and a PC global release on February 18. Episode Two launches one week later on February 24/25. Episode Three follows on March 3/4, and finally Episode Four will be available from March 10/11.

All four episodes can be purchased as part of a season pass for $24.99. As well as access to all four episodes, season pass holders also get:

  • Two additional spin-off episodes that focus on telling the side stories of each of the two new Resident Evil characters: Moira Burton and Natalia Korda

  • Additional RAID mode character: Hunk

It’s worth noting that this additional content will also be available to purchase separately for non-season pass holders.

Now onto the return of Barry. S.T.A.R.S. member Barry Burton heads for the remote prison island in search of his missing daughter, Moira Burton, who went there with Claire Redfield. While there, Barry meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Players can take control of both new characters and need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira.
