Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions arrives on PC and consoles in a little over a week, and to remind you why you should be pumped about that—and in case, you know, you forgot it was a thing—here’s a launch trailer!
Dimensions is the first entry in the geometrically stylized twin-stick shooter series to leave a Microsoft platform. The first installment debuted on Xbox in 2003, then came to Xbox 360 in 2005 as Retro Revolved, which was also ported to Steam later in 2007. A sequel, Retro Evolved 2, launched on XBLA only in 2008.
According to Craig Howard, co-founder of Lucid Games, Dimensions will contain two exclusive, special stages on the PlayStation versions: “Symbolic,” in which enemies spawn in cluster shaped like the DualShock face buttons, and the pre-order bonus level “Secret Eye.”
Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions launches on PS4, PS3, and PC via Steam on November 25, followed by an Xbox One and Xbox 360 launch on November 26. All versions will cost $14.99 (though there’s likely to be a slight discount on Steam for pre-ordering, there usually is).
