2K and Gearbox have released the second piece of DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught.
The DLC is available now on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, and features a new challenge arena where players can fight continuous waves of familiar and new enemies for the chance to earn some new loot, such as weapons, class mods, and heads and skins. There’s also some new narrative as Athena recounts the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to Vault Hunters Gaige and Axton.
As well as the Holodome content, the DLC also bumps up the max level cap to 60, offering players 10 more skill points.
Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught is free to download for season pass holders and costs $9.99 for players without a pass.
Today also sees the release of Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode—a third playthrough for the game—on PlayStation 3 and PC (Xbox 360 owners got it last week). This third playthrough ups the health of enemies, scales enemies up to player level, and allows players to reset campaign progress at any time.
