Lord Saladin returns to Destiny with the Iron Banner event

As promised, Lord Saladin has today returned to the Tower with his Iron Banner event, but is it worth your time?

The short answer is no. If you took part in the event a few weeks ago and got all of the items from Lord Saladin then there’s very little reason for you to bother this time. The main reason for this is that his major new additions are level 31 armor, which can easily be obtained from other areas of the game—unless you really, really like the look of the Iron Banner gear. Also, the armor on offer is gloves and boots, which are the easiest pieces to get from vendors due to having low costs and no need for a commendation.

Lord Saladin also has his reforgeable weapons that are at the 331 cap, which may be worth the grind if you like the look of them or want to gamble for some good perks, but again, you can also get 331 weapons from vendors with much less grind.

The main incentive from the last event—the level 30 armor—is now gone, which makes the grind (all ranks have been reset to zero) to reach a high rank seem pretty pointless.
