People have beaten Dark Souls II in around 20 minutes in the past using glitches to skip parts of the game, but beating it in under one hour without glitches is something new.
Speedrunner Corey “Allakazzaror” Coolidge has managed to complete the game in 59 minutes and 15 seconds—a new world record. His run was in the “Glitchless Any%” category, which basically requires a player to beat the game in as fastest time as possible by any means, without using any glitches.
Coolidge believes that a 58-minute run is possible in the future, due to him dying once—which he reckons cost him around 40 seconds—and some other mistakes.
A summary of his run can be found here, and you can watch the whole thing in the video above.
